TAX TECHNOLOGIES CEO TO SPEAK AT THREE INTERNATIONAL TAX CONFERENCES PRESENTED BY THE COUNCIL FOR INTERNATIONAL TAX EDUCATION

Haworth, NJ, June 26, 2001 – J.D. Choi, Tax Technologies CEO and International tax expert, is scheduled to present two sessions at the "U.S. International Tax Reporting & Compliance" conferences presented by the Council for International Tax Education (CITE). Each conference is two days in length and covers a variety of topics relevant for International Tax professionals. Mr. Choi’s sessions are titled, "Developing a Foreign Tax Reporting Package" and "New Reporting Requirements for U.S.-Controlled Partnerships".

"In light of the new reporting requirements that significantly increase compliance burden, the International Tax and Reporting seminar is a great way for compliance personnel to update their understanding of new reporting rules and effectively manage international tax compliance processes," says JD Choi. "The two day format is concise yet complete."

In the opening session, Mr. Choi will discuss the issues surrounding foreign tax data collection. He will help tax departments understand the type of information they need to obtain, whether for check-the-box entities, controlled foreign corporations, or controlled foreign partnerships. Additionally, he will share his experience leveraging technology to efficiently collect data.

In his later session, Mr. Choi explains the new filing requirements for Controlled Foreign Partnerships on Form 8865. This includes an explanation of who must file, what forms and schedules must be filed, filing exceptions, penalties, and strategies to ease foreign partnership reporting.

The conference is scheduled for three locations: Chicago on July 23-24, 2001, New York City on August 13-14, 2001, and Los Angeles on August 20-21, 2001. Interested participants can earn up to 16 CPE/CLE credits and can register or get more information by visiting the CITE web site at www.fdta-cite.org or e-mailing info@fdta-cite.org. A downloadable brochure with registration form is available at http://www.fdta-cite.org/pdf/intlrc.pdf.
