| TAX TECHNOLOGIES E1065 SOFTWARE PREPARES TO SERVICE COMPLEX PARTNERSHIP RETURNS WITH OFFICIAL ACCEPTANCE FROM
IRS INTO THE BUSINESS ELECTRONIC FILING PROGRAM
Haworth, NJ, March 1, 2001 – Tax Technologies e1065 product passed the final hurdle in the IRS approval
process, ensuring that the most complex partnership structures can meet the electronic filing requirement
this year.
Starting in Tax Year 2000, all partnerships having over 100 partners are required to file their return
electronically unless a waiver or exceptions apply. Tax Technologies has received certification from the
IRS e-filing program for the most complex forms and schedules needed by large partnerships (1065, 8865,
5471, 4562, and more). In addition, the firm has committed to support all other forms and schedules
required by clients as part of their Form 1065 electronic filing package.
The software is especially well suited for large partnerships that have international ownership
interests as it provides comprehensive support for Forms 8865 and 5471. Tax Technologies CEO and
international tax expert, JD Choi says, "Many companies are struggling to understand the new reporting
requirements associated with controlled foreign partnerships. This application goes beyond the form and
helps train tax personnel while automating income sourcing, expense apportionment, and partnership
allocation calculations."
Because the product is Internet/Intranet-based, it is licensed for an unlimited number of concurrent
users. Pricing varies based on partnership complexity and functionality needs. For more information,
